Medieval Jousting Week

Tuesday 23 - Sunday 28 July, 2019

The highlight of the summer events at the castle is our international joust tournament. We host a real contest of combat. Competitors fight to win, with no scripts or stunts.
This year we are pleased to announce that we have a truly global event, with new teams of knights from Australia and Scandinavia competing for the honour and title of Champion.

In between contests, enjoy the extensive range of exhibitors in our tented encampment, demonstrating blacksmithing, jewellery and leather work from whom you can purchase that unique gift.

Be amazed by our falconry display and enjoy the medieval music of Myal and Peg.

This is all accompanied by food and refreshments from our Knights Table.
